Sunday Seven

1. I have hated having a bummed knee and cast at the same time - major stinky.
2. This week had one too many appointments for me! Sheesh
3. I am really thankful for my oldest sister Jennifer. She is a great friend & sister. She as taken me to a lot of appointments lately and just been a great support to me.
4. I had my infusion on Friday. Seems early?! Well it was! We did it very three weeks to see if that would change things. It felt strange going to infusion center feeling ok. They got IV on 2nd stick which was nice. However, I felt very funky afterwards and have been feeling icky since than ;(
5. My love for trader joes continues.
6. My friend Tom came over and helped me with some lil projects around the house and fixed my iPad & iPhone so I can print wirelessly. So nice of him to spend a morning helping me.
7. My team Random Amanda is number one for the Wheaton Jingle Run!

Sunday seven

1. I can't keep my kitchen clean this week, it's a disaster
2. Went to dinner with Sandra and we had really yummy sushi
3. Went out to dinner with Jessie and a friend to PF Changs it was my first time there and it was Sooo yummy and good
4. In my second sewing lesson I made a pillow with a dog bone appliqué on it - it looks great! Darla loves the pillow in her bed
5. I really enjoy my small group on Sundays and reminded of that everytime I go or see someone from it
6. Saw the movie Wreck it Ralph and it was really good/cute.
7. We had a "family party" on Friday for Sandra's birthday. She had a great time and we all loved the food she cooked.

Random Review: Sunday seven

1. Had a wonderful time in Fort Wayne.
2. Monday I saw good ole Dr A, orthopedic who did Norma. I was put in big black boot for my foot. I had a MRI done on Friday and go bak on the 29. Apparently I have stress fractures and my bones have shifted. The thing my foot is super painful, which is strange bc it's the foot where nerve biopsy was done so on part of my foot I can't feel anything... So the fact it hurts so much is not good. It will be interesting to see what MRI shows.

3. No chip manicures are very cool.
4. I carved pumpkins this weekend over at Jessie's and Sandra came too, it was a lot of fun.

5. TRS received all my paperwork for disability... So now I wait.
6. Had movie night Saturday with my brother - in - law Dave and kids bc Jennifer was at book group retreat. We watched The Avengers - good movie.
7. I use to dread Sunday nights bc Monday came the next day with work, beginning of week, grading papers but.. Lately I enjoy them more and more. Thankfully for church in morning bad the people I see there and in evening for my new small group.

1. Fall is definitely here and we have had some AMAZING weather we I have been able to go on walks with the girls and just sit in the sun and enjoy October weather. Darla as you can tell LOVES the weather too!

2. I have started to reorganize and update the office/craft room because I have had so much stuff come home from my classroom. There is more on this on crafts & cravings blog.

3. My niece and nephew came over this week and we made pumpkin bread and did wax leaves! It was so much fun.

4. The girls went to the vet and both checked out to be healthy. Darla weighs 30.4lbs and Olive is 18.2lbs. Darla need to get ALL her shots and did a great job. They love going to the vet because everyone gives them LOTS of attention. 

5. I went to the lab this week and they took 11 little tubes of blood! It was A LOT. Got nasty bruise from it. The good news is my RA inflammatory markers are normalized again. My liver has stayed stable from last months which is good.

 6. I FINALLY have all my TRS and TRIP information for health insurance and disability filled out and sent away. I also have now officially signed ALL my resignation papers with the district as well. Rough week with being on phone with tons of different people and having to explain my situation. Lots of questions about how young I am and going on disability. But its done... now I wait.

7. My good friend Amy and her son came this weekend! It has been so much fun seeing her and catching up on life. Little J is awesome and its been fun to play with and love on him while he is on his special road trip with his mom.

1. I made some new headbands!

2.  All my disability paper work came and I have started the process of filling it all out and getting it the people that it needs to go to. It is a LOT of work.

3. The Weather lately has been SOOO wonderful I can't stand it!! It is so nice to be able to go outside and enjoy it. The leaves all starting to change colors and things look beautiful.

4. My class room is all packed up and things are home here in my house. So I need to begin to unpack it and organize all the stuff.

5. I had one of the BEST Carmel apples ever with my sister on Thursday from a place downtown called Grahams - seriously the best I have had.

6. Friday was crazy! I went to coumadin clinic and they canceled our appointment upon arrival, turns out the nurse Barb died that morning very suddenly and in the office - horrible! So Sad. Then we went to the NEW infusion center in and it is SO nice. Chairs are nicer, more room for people who come with you its beautiful only down fall no windows. Well, i got poked TEN times for my IV and they could NOT get it. So i was sent to the other infusion center. In between centers I drank three bottles of water and rubbed my arms and they got the IV in ok. The infusion then went how it typically goes and I feel like i typically do- yucky.

7. I had acuputunure on saturday and really helped my headache adn lowered my aches and pains.

1. I hate throwing up, hate it. Was reminded of this in Tuesday!
2. I find it humorous that when I was at clinic this week I saw a little boy playing in the fountain
3. Weather in the 70s is my favorite
4. Spent time with a good friend and their family on Friday night - loved it! Not to mention the dinner she made
5. My mom pulled the weeds outback so now the girls have their little potty area back and my deck is no longer a poop deck! Yay!
6. Don't Watch the movie "the five year engagement" it's soo slow and bad!!
7. I joined a small group at church and I like it!

Random Review: Sunday Seven

1. As much as I hated being hospitalized this week it gave me new information on how to better take care of my Addison's
2. I have decided on the girls costumes this year!! Hee Hee
3. The weather we have been having has been wonderful!! Sunny and like 70s - love being able to be outside and not have my body go crazy on me. Love sitting on my porch! Love having windows open. And my girls LOVE the weather too- they don't over heat.

4. A friend of mine gave me a wonderful beautiful super meaningful gift! A necklace that is a cross and made out of a spoon! I love the "spoon theory" (www.butyoudontlooksick.com) and just about anyone who knows me I have shared it with! It's soo pretty.

5. My patience in wanting to buy a new table and chairs for my porch paid off bc I was able to get things on super sale and I love them!! Chairs are from pier one and table from Ace Hardware
6. I took my niece & nephew bowling on Saturday bc it was my schools day . We had a lot of fun!!! But I am sore today from doing it.

7. I was thankful to make it to work on Friday.

Well it's been a busy past two weeks and I sorta forgot to update the blog!

1. I started back to work! And I love it!!!!! My family helped cheer me one and I got a cake and decorated car

2. I went back to OT and got a new splint made for my wrist.

3. I am getting a sleep apnea machine this week. Apparently when i did my second sleep study ALL my levels went normal- an I slept like a rock. We shall see how all this works.

4. I went to IKEA! And only got two things that were not on my list.

5. I bought the hunger games
And enjoyed a movie night with friends

6. Had a good cardiology appointment

7. I made it through first week of work and no flare!!! And LOVE seeing Morgan again all the time - such a great friend and teaching partner.

Random review: Sunday seven

1. I currently am not feeling the greatest. I have a nasty sore throat and wierd cough - hope it goes away soon! So I felt blah all day
2. I'm so sad Olympics are over
3. I felt good enough Friday I went to the zoo with Jess & Riley
4. I saw my endocrinologist on wednesday - things seem to be going ok. I am now under closer watch for diabetes type 2 which just sucks, so now we will begin to add that blood work to my labs.
5. My friend Kait got engaged - so happy for her!
6. My big work meetings on Thursday were hard but overall went well.
7. The ankle I sprained almost two weeks ago is still swollen and really hurts.

I tried dictating my blog yesterday and I did, but then accidentally hit "delete" instead of post. So I am now redoing my random weekly review on Monday.

Random ReviewSunday Seven

1. I am obsessed with the Olympics and watch it every night and have it on during the day. It is just so inspiring and fun to watch! I have really enjoyed seeing sports that I typically don't get to see or watch - like fencing, shooting, synchronized swimming, trampoline, handball (i think you get the point)
2. I have started to finish some crafts and projects that I have been really wanting to get done. I made a picture collage of my 30th pictures online, finished a picture hangy thing for my room, a craft for Justine & Aaron.

3. I have HATED not being able to do much this week because of falling on Tuesday. sooo frustrating. However, I now can walk on it and put a shoe on. Lots of couch and ice time.

4. Tutoring has been going SO well and I really enjoy it, like really enjoy it. It has been exciting to see her progress over these past few weeks and think hey-i helped her learn that! She can count 1-10 all on her own, spell her name, knows her colors, can do simple patterns and her cutting skills have gotten so much better

5. My INR levels have been AWFUL this week and of course my dear friend at the Coumadin Clinic has been gone so I have to do into the lab EVERY DAY for a blood draw - so annoying. All week it was below 2 and on Friday it finally went up to 2.2!!

6. On Friday I had my infusion - i forgot how much I hate those days. (last month fooled me bc I had just gotten out of the hospital and was still on morphine and other big drugs that helped masked everything) My wonderful Morgan went with me and then spent the day with me- it was so nice and we had fun! I felt like crap but still it was nice to have friends. The infusion was an hour late to get started, we had some trouble with my IV (like always) but then the drip went fine. Saturday, I was SO frustrated because I still ached and felt icky and SOO badly wanted to do things and just couldn't. So, I listened to my body and slept watched the Olympics and iced my foot and knee.

7. I got to go wedding dress shopping with my friend Kait on Wednesday. We went to Davids Bridal, and it was so much fun! She looked fantastic in EVERYTHING she tried on! Even cooler thing was that she actually got her dress that day and got a great deal on it too!! woo too weddings!!

BONUS! 8. Sandra came over this afternoon (Sunday) and helped me finish projects around the house and was super friend and cleaned as well! She hung all my pictures and signs up in my office room. Fixed my bulletin board and closet door. She washed my floors and picked up the kitchen. She walked the dogs. She was super Sandra! I was able to hook and fix my new printer while she did all of that and figured out my weekly calendar of what was going on. It was a productive day!

1. I started back to physical therapy for my left knee this week and I forgot how hard it is! It has also made me really aware of how out of shape and chunky i am!! EEEK! Sooo at least I'm getting back to do some type of exercise.
2. THE OLYMPICS started and I am
Obessesed with them! I love it!
3. I redid my work webpage and am really going to try to keep the motto
Keep it simple!
4. My fingers and hands just ache a lot these days. The fingers trigger and wrists pops and it just hurts bc of all tr destruction RA has done to them.
5. I really really have missed my siblings and not being at the beach with them this year.
6. I opened up a new checking account this week and all my new checks came.
7. I loved worship and church today!

Random Review: Sunday Sven

1. I feel as thugh I am becoming a boring blogger. I have soooooo many ideas, thoughts and things to say... Yet never write them down and then I get upset with myself for not writing more. 2. I have had so much fun the past week with my dear dear friend Jamie in town, but now I miss her more than unusual. It was just so great having her here and apart of my day to day life. I love her, chad her husband and adore her two little boys So much! Our families all got together on Monday and had a fun evening together!3. It was SUPER duper hot again Tuesday so, Jess, Ry and I went to the splash park and it was so much fun!! There are all thess sprinklerss, water type fountains, giant things that dump water on kids - so great!4. On of the hot days Sandra and I randomly decided to grab milkshakes and then went and saw Snowwhite & The Huntsman... Good movie and some more summer fun!5. My hips having been really bothering me since Friday which has made for some heavy pain killers, time playing on my new iPad and watching The Office.6. Both primary care & rheumatology have filled out their paper work and gave me clearance to go back to work full Time...here we go!7. There is something so fun, sweet and special about watching cute & good children's movies with little ones for the first time! I watched Babe with my niece, nephew and "dimple gang" this weekend -- too cute!*i dictated this entry on my new iPad! *

Random Review: Sunday seven

1. I went to the pool twice!
2. I had lunch with a great friend at one of my favorite fun places
3. Went to ace hardware and got flowers for my porch and front - I got pretty purple ones!
4. Tried this new movie place an loved it! Saw Men in Black3, fantastic movie! It was in a new theater, where you sit in nicer seats, and there is a full restaurant and you order food and eat. It was great!
5. My birthday was on Friday and I had a nice low key day at home having two friends pop by in the morning. Then Watched the Julia Roberts movie "Mirror, Mirror"with a fiend and crafted - pleasantly surprised by how good and funny it was!! My mom showered me with flowers and cards! The. We ordered dinner in together and I watched the Olympics. I got lots of phone calls too!
6.I had a party on Saturday and was BLOWN away by it. (more to come later)
7. HORRIBLE storms came through the area today horrible!

Random Review: Sunday Seven

1. Its been a loong week and I am glad its over.
2. I survived the sleep study!
3. I spent an afternoon with one of my favorite people Melissa :) and we started to make a real cool project... there will be more on this when its ALL Done. It involves clay.
4. The great room switch-a-roo is done. The guest room is now the office/craft room and vise verse. There is SO much more room for me now its great. The closet space is also sooo much better. I have had fun reorganizing things! (see below pictures)
5. I use to love all things hot, sunny and humid... with Addisons and Ra... not so much not a fan. Here in chicagoland we are almost in a drought because we had NO rain and its SOO hot.
6. My nausea has slightly improved being off a medicine we thought it might be causing it. Its been nice to eat! There has been NO PUKING! woo hoo
7. This is my last week in my 20s... I say hello to a new decade on friday and celebrate it on Saturday with a fun pink & orange croquet party!

Random Review: Sunday Seven

*i have more posts written on my desktop but have not been able to get on it lately, once I am, there will be a bunch of posts to upload!

1. Monday I went to dermatology for my wart, hadn't been in three months! So my foot got numbed, then they scraped it down and then froze it! Ohhhh my was in pain pain Monday and Tuesday! Wow. Hopefully now we will be back on two week treatments to finally get rid of the wart from hell.
2. I had cardiology testing (things are ok) but forget how sticky those little pads are that they put on you for monitors- its like super glue! And before they put it on they rub you with medical sand paper! Ha ha
3. Wednesday "the dimple gang" and their mom came over and I had such a fun time with her and them!! Nothing like playing with plastic animals, army men and throwing balls outside!
4. It has been soo hot here lately that I'm glad my house has been clean and has air!! Middle 90s and humid
5. My friends husband is away for 11 days on a mission trip so we have been having some extra time together and it's been sooooo fun! We have done dinner two nights, Saturday her mom watched her kid and we went to French market, garage saling and to a antique store!
6. I did my own grocery shopping at Trader Joes and spent the most there I have ever spent! I blame my niece who came with me and the fact it was the first time in months I did my own shopping! But now my freezer is STOCKED, fridge and pantry full!
7. I have been feeling pretty good lately. I get swollen from the heat which is expected. My knees hurt. By night joints ache... But literally otherwise I'm doing well...

Random Review: Sunday Seven

1. I got my cast off on Wednesday... Only to find out Friday it's still slightly broken in my arch, ankle is ok. So now am in a boot and a soft lace up brace for a month. I sorta said NO WAY to being in a cast again.
2. Three of my friends were appointment buddies this week and I had such a great time with each of them! And the appointments weren't bad either
3. I had my infusion on Thursday and on Wednesday evening and all night I felt like shit bc of how much my
Body ached and hurt- sleepless night. When I saw the nurses I BURST into
Tears and thanked them for making me go to ER bc they saved my life! I then told them all about the multiple blood
Clots. They teared up too and we hugged. Infusion went as usual.
4. I LOVE that I can sit outside in the sun on not too hot of days or
Be in shade on hot days and my
Body "behaves" unlike last summer. So I've enjoyed my sister and moms
Backyard.
5. Found out that Olive loves the sprinkler and reminded that Darla loves the pool
6. Watched ironman and ironman2 with Sandra - loved both movies and had fun with Sandra
7. I am having fun finishing up projects I started around the house and am
Having fun rearranging furniture and just sprucing my place up a bit. I changed my bedroom around, reorganized the basement, and cleaned up outside toy bins!

Random Review: Sunday Seven

1. I was released from the hospital on Monday from being there since Friday. My Addison's acted up really bad!
2. Unfortunately I did NOT get to go back to work for the end of the school year.
3. I bought/found a cool old nail/screws organizer at this antique shop - cleaned it up and now it hold all my buttons!
4. I love spending time with my friend Jess and her little girl! They are such a blessing to me and I always have a good time with them!!
5. More and more I am mastering the art of painting my own nails despite how shaky my hands are
6. My freind Sandra helped me out together a project I saw on Pinterest- old window turned into a wall decoration!
7. I got to see one of my best friends who is a missionary in Mexico! She is in the states until June 25- looking
Forward to spending more time with her & family!

Random Review: "Monday" Seven

1. We had some crazy weather with big thunderstorms and found out Olive hates them! Darla is fine after she is given a Benadrly
2. I went to some resale shops and peered at peoples garbage and found some fun things that I am going to redo! A cool bird feeder, an old window, some shutters and a chair. I can't wait to get crafty with them.
3. Saw Dr H, my endocrinologist. My Addison's is a little strange sober had to change up some of my meds. We also web over what to do it I have an "AI attack".
4. I have grass growing in my little front yard and it looks great! Granted there are weeds - there is still great grass!
5. The neighborhood geese "attacked" the girls and I on our walk yet again! They have a nest they are guarding in my neighbors yard. There are alos mallard ducks who have a nest in our parking area.
6. Olive got spayed on Wednesday. Everything went well, however turns out she has a really bad ear infection poor pup. While she was gone Darla snuggled next to me and slept most of the time. I think she liked being able to sleep and not being pestered.
7. I ended up back in hospital on Thursday with blood clots ;(
