*beware of nasty picture at bottom of post
Well...
I was with my cousin walking today with my walker.
Somehow I slipped.
Fell on my knee and split it wide open again...yes the same knee.
Had to call 911.
Went in ambulance to hospital.
It's awful!!
I guess if you reopen an area that was stitched, you can't reclose it.
The wound needs to heal from inside out.
It's about 10cm long and in one area about 3cm wide.
It's huge and nasty.
I was admitted to hospital.
Tomorrow will be seen by team of doctors to make official plan.
Tomorrow I was suppose to get infusion - not sure if that will be able to happen.
My diseases are really complicating things.
I have no words to describe my frustration.
I have no words to describe how disappointed I am about Friday.
Ill know more tomorrow...

I'm doing it!
Well it's been about a month or so since I started "walking". To help motivate myself I got new fancy walking shoes in my favorite colors too. Now i started with just short little itty bitty walks around the parking lot. Next Friday is Arthritis Foundation Walk downtown in th city. There is a 3mile and 1mile course and I made it my goal to walk the mile... And gosh darn it I am going to do it! Even a nasty fall won't hold me back, it may make use my walker, but I shall do it and I am! Today, I walked the furthest so far AND I did with out my cane or walker AND I had The Girls with, we walked 0.6 of mile! I'm doing it! So proud of myself.

Honoree
I have been asked to be a honoree for the Arthritis Foundations Jingle Bell Run/Walk for the western suburbs. It is a very cool and strange thing to do but I am happy to help spread awareness about autoimmune diseases especially RA!
Feel free to joint my team - Random Amanda!

Arthritis Foundation Jingle Bell Run/Walk
Well, the Random Amanda's strike again! My team raised just over $1500 for the Arthritis Foundation. It was this past Saturday December 17. IT was suppose to be sunny at 39, however... we woke up to SNOW, and it about 30. So unfortunately I did not get to do the walk but still had fun. This even is so fun, everyone is festive, holiday music blares, people are happy its good time. There were 19 of us together. Everyone enjoyed themselves even though my nephew and a friend of ours got lost for a bit, they were smart little boys and did the right then and we found them. Enjoy some of the pictures!

145-27-29 World Arthritis Day
So, today I was blown away with support from my siblings, cousins, friends, coworkers who double as friends because of messages I was given and all the BLUE and purple they wore in honor of me and my fight with RA. It was all apart of World Arthritis Day.
There were a lot of people who also posted my numbers in honor me. "the numbers" were to gain notice/attention to one of Thr main myths that people with obesity get autoimmune arthritis or that arthritis can be caused by obesity. Sooo the first number is my weight @onset of disease, 2nd number is age of onset and 3rd number is current age. When the "day" is over there is going to be a GIANT average of everyone who participated. These numbers will help bring awareness to different foundations and also to certain individuals in high profile who have agreed to these "myths" More of this can be explained at: http://www.iaamovement.org/Home_Page.html
The other part of this was to write your onset story. I have not actually written it before but I will work on posting it. BUT I can say, since my onset RA/Stills has drastically effected my life in every way.
Tonight Megan, Justine & Vanessa and I all went to massage envy to participate in their promo for an hour massage and $10 of every massage went to The Arthritis Foundation. It was fun to all go together and then wr all felt good when we left!
Here are some of pictures of the day! Including friends, family and dogs sportin blue!
