Classy Canine Creations
My girls have been stinky and dirty for quite sometime. Their nails looked like lil talons and ears super nasty. They have been long overdue to get groomed. So on Saturday my niece helped me take them to Classy Canine Creations do get groomed. I was beyond impressed with them! They got bathed, brushed, nails cut, ears cleaned, anal glands expressed and a bandana. I swear Darla turned a white color 😊 Darla did not like the bandana and refused to make eye contact with anyone until the bandana came off. Where as Olive was so proud of hers.

Kisses
I couldn't sleep tonight - like most nights because of back pain and steroids. Tonight Olive decided that I needed LOTS of kisses! She kissed my face the most which with her little tongue often tickles and then moved to my hand. She is currently kissing it as I write this. So cute from my little one!

Olive Anne and the bad reaction
My sweet lil Olive Anne had her wellness check up on Thursday. We orginally went bc of her bad allergies which causes her to scratch under her armpits a lot and she had cracked Her dew claw. However, it worked out to make it her full check up! The vet confirmed she is small for a Frenchie but totally healthy and proportional. Said she was curious, a sweetie & lover and tiny but mighty! She is 17.6lbs and 15months old. she ended up getting a shot as well. Things were fine so we headed home.... However shortly after coming home she was on my lap and I noticed a bump on her butt and thought oh must be where she got her shot. Then I noticed two on head. I called the vet and they said BRING HER IN! Soo in a panic I scooped her in my arms
Threw a loose leash on darla and out to the car we went. Sure enough my sweet lil honey was having a horrible reaction to her shot and hives kept popping up EVERywhere and her face started to turn red and swell - I started to freak out and cry bc I got I so scared and nervous. I'm only like 10min away from the vet but it felt like
Forever! At a red light I snapped pictures of her face and couldn't believe how has things were spreading and getting worse. By the time I pulled into the vet she was gagging trying to breathe and her lips & eyes were so swollen she could barely see. I ran her in and a tech literally grabbed her from my hands an rushed her in back. They all told me they were going to take good care of her and to try to relax so I went back out to the car and got Darla. We could hear Olive whimper which I assumed was good but Darla wanted to go in the back. Soon, the tech came out and said she had a horrible reaction, in fact her nose closed up!! I started to cry again. They said they wanted to watch her and asked if I could just hang out for a bit so that's what Darla & I did- sat and waited. About 20min after we got there they brought Olive out to say hi bc she was crying in the back. Her face was still puffy but she looked better. They had to give her three different shots to help and told me she was going to be just fine. We stayed until they closed and then headed home. I was told the shots would make her drowsy and she would be "out of it" the rest of the night and next day... And she was!! She was soo sleepy and extra snuggling. When I woke up the next day all her hives, swelling and redness were gone!! But my oh my what an adventure we had!!
Back at home snuggling on the couch.

Olive Anne is ONE!!
Sooo I thinks it's very obvious that I love my little pups. Little Olive has been soo much fun and has quite the little personality. On April 30, she turned one. Unfortunately the pain from my shingles had me down and out for the count so I could not take her downtown to get her first real ice cream. However, she did receive some presents from the twins and then in the evening my brother Matt showed up with ice cream for her!! I also found all these old clothes that people gave me when I got Darla- the dress olive is in darla wore on her birthday only it was super dupe tight! Here are some fun pictures

A really off day
Last night I went to bed with what I had hoped to do during today... And today when I lay awake in bed still hoped to do those things...But then I got out of bed and started to move and things went south and I had a really off day...
- my foliculitis rash got way worse,- the bumps are more intense and itch more
- my feet hurt Sooo bad I seriously couldnt put any pressure on them- I stayed on my leather chair in my living room all day with the exception to pee and get dinner. I was slow and held my pee as long as i usually do that I actually wet myself cause I couldn't get to bathroom in time- awesome. I cried then laughed.
- my thumbs remained out of place most of day and hands killed I could barely hold anything
- mouth sores nasty
- felt queasy
- had all over nasty body fatigue
- I was extremely tired all day cause I didn't sleep well last night.
As you can imagine it was a hard day. I attribute a lot of today's crap because I didn't have my Lyrica for two days and yesterday I took my methotrexate. It's just makes me sad for myself and that this is my life at times. But then as hard as it is I am blessed and God gives me the strength and reminders I can do it... Like
- calling my sister in law who picked up my perscriptions, lunch and Popsicles for me
-my niece coming over and washing the girls, brushing the girls and playing with them
- looking out my window and seeing a cute lil snowmen my brother & his twins built
- talking with my older sister randomly though out the day and her constant willingness to help me
So... Yes as I lay in bed with Darla contently chewing on a bone while Olive is jumping on top of her I am glad today is over and tomorrow is a new day... Who knows what it shall hold.
Here is a part of lovely rash, darla in sink, and girls chilin with me (I love pictures!)

Sleeping Dogs
My girls sleep in the bed with me. They are warm little snuggle ovens :) however they started new things...
Darla sleeps along the pillows and Olive now crawls under the blankets and pops her head or stays completely under. So funny
The other is I've slept on the couch a lot lately... And the girls make me a "sandwich" with one on either side.

Bed
Lately I've been having a hard time FALLING asleep, once I'm asleep I'm out. I lay in bed and my mind races... I get scared, afraid, anxious then i get sad and frustrated... It's like a emotional spinner! A lot has to do with the fact that I'm nauseous again at Night and my body just throbs in pain from being at work. It's never ending.
However... The past three nights now... There have been three in the bed. They are so snuggly and cute who can resist. Especially lil olive she is a honey who just snuggles right next to me. They have been very calming too and help me relax. Tonight... I caught these cute pictures of Olive trying to keep her eyes open.
Hee Hee I think I'm turning into the weird girl who is sick, loves Apple and is obsessed with her doggies :)

One crazy week
I haven't posted in awhile because well last week sucked. It was Sooo crazy and i was such a mess it was nutty.
The weather last week was very strange and we had a drastic temperature change in the beginning of the week and Sunday I tapered down on my hydrocortisone. We think that this was part of the problem, now looking back at the events.
Tuesday around lunch time I started to feel "funny" at work. I kept an eye on things but knew something was off. Around 130ish I knew it was my AI acting up. I was dizzy, felt nauseous, got light headed when i changed positions. It was BAD and was just going down hill. I called Thr nurse who came to my room and I ended up having to give myself my injection at work!! It was crazy. Long story I was ok ended up staying a little later at work until things settled. Well, when I came home work I got another surprise at home- Olive was a swollen mess!!! She had these bubbly bumps everywhere, here eyes were swollen, face red and droopey... Not good. Rushed her to the vet, where turns out she had a huge allergic reaction to something- they think bees. She must of gotten into them in the morning and reaction got worse throughout the day!! She stayed at the clinic until close, they gave her a steroid injection and Benadryl. Soo scary! Then that night I was up every hour or so with my fever and rashes- Sooo not cool.
Wednesday I managed to go to work. I was sore and tired but love teaching. After school i saw dermatology for my rash and wart. They burned and froze my wart again - which felt like hell!! While there my heart acted up and lungs went a little nutty. I also threw up all over the doctor. So, he called the cardiologist And we made a "plan" for the night to try to stay out of the hospital. I had different people come keep me company and help with things until 10:30 and meds worked. Yea big family who could take shifts to watch me.
Thursday was doctor day, i took te day off because I had three appointments. I saw the new doctor for my back- it was NOT pleasant, and I did NOT like seeing her. She does know her stuff and what she is doing and gave me two injections which were helpful. But I'll write more about my back and hips later. After seeing the new doctor I had lab work done. Then I had an allergy appointment and had my allergy shot. I was sooooo tired!!
Friday and Saturday I was WIPED from the crazy week. Didn't do much. Saturday evening and Sunday i got nauseous again and my mouth full of sores - damn methotrexate. Sooo it was a crazy week.
We (doctors and i) adjusted some medicine to help the AI. We also talked about my temperature intolerance and how with the cold weather coming I needed to review all what goes with it. I just need to be careful and remember to take precautions.
Im trying. It's hard. It's painful. But I'm trying. I wish things would get easier- boy do I.
