So, I have not been to church in months, for real months. It's too hard on soo many levels. Well, today I went with my sister in law. It was actually ok, she was a nice buffer from people. However, two things that are awful with RA and new knee. When you have numb, tingling sore hands church not a good place because of the "turn to the people around and greet those who are near to you." OUCH!! handshake after handshake OUCH! and what do you say when someone you don't know is trying to be nice and say hello and sticks their hand out for a shake? They are trying to be kind and welcoming... But to me it was not so fun. So my somewhat hurtful hands turned red and puffy from
Church today-poop. The second reason church was awful was sitting in pews! My hips STILL kill from the hospital flare and sitting in a pew NOT cool. Ontop of hip pains, Norma hated the pews too because it's awfully hard to stand up. Sit down. Stand up. Sit down. That's a lot of up and downs!! So church, you just even HARDER for me to go to - awesome.
Poopy hands.
Ouch! Flares and handshakes do go together. I am living outside of a flare, have been for months, and I hope to remain here. I hope you are pain(free)less soon.
