The Family Bug

Well, if my week of thanksgiving wasn't crazy enough, it got crazier. Starting Friday morning after thanksgiving my family started to get with the "Family Flu Bug". It hit different family members throughout Friday-Sunday. Sure enough your truly got hit with on Sunday - which made for my 3rd trip to the ER because i got soo dehydrated. I laid around all Sunday afternoon and evening feeling awful simply awful. It was horrible. By the time I got back from the ER i was keeping everything "in".  I thought I was in the clear like everyone else- it seem to hit you hard for like 4-8hours then you were ok. The night came and I went to bed. HOWEVER, I woke up around 2:30am throwing up like crazy all over again. It was nasty. I felt so weak. I also had this HORRIBLE stomach cramping and back pain that was very unusual. So, I called my sister in law (thank you!) since she was around the whole in and out of the ER and was around the family bug and is doctor AND I called the ER. My sister in law and the ER both said to come right back in. Sure enough that's what I did. Which made trip number 4 to the ER... SO CRAZY. I ended up staying at the hospital until Wednesday afternoon. My immune system could not fight any part of this virus. I was on IV fluids until late Monday night and also received medication via IV until Tuesday night to help boost everything. I think it is very safe to say that when you have a severely compromised immune system and you get sick - your screwed!! I finally felt back to my self on Saturday and am now doing much much better -as well is the other nine people who got the family flu bug.
